Question by chicka: To burn fat you work at a low intensity true?
Im my years of studying human biology and anatomy and all those fun subjects i have always studied that to burn fat you have to work at a low intensity and to burn carbs you work at a medium to high intensity. Well last night i saw a personal trainer (who remind you they only have 8 weeks of training because i have also done the cert 4 in fitness and im quilified to be a personal trainer) He tells me i need to work at a high intensity to get results on cardio… Im very conufsed someone help! What intensity is best to work out to burn fat?
As a personal trainer who did practice because i decided i wanted to be a chiro im now studding in depth and science tells us that its low intensity. Personal trainers only have 8 weeks of study so i believe its low intenisty.

you must always work at high intensity to burn fat,
you must get your heart rate working at 70-80% of your max,
as a personal trainer you should already know this!

Question by kill the silence: why do my power locks and any other accessories only work when my car is on?
i was installing a stereo in my 2002 HONDA CIVIC and accidentally yanked one of the power wires out. its possible it might have touched something it shouldnt have. ever since then, the interior light doesnt turn on when i open my doors, my windows wont roll down, and my power locks wont work unless i have the car on. what are some things i can look at to fix it?
thanks.

You apparently reconnected the wire to a circuit controlled by the switch. You need to connect it to a hot (always on) circuit.

What program would work best for a personal trainer?

Question by agassi8: What program would work best for a personal trainer?
The link is to fitness/health programs at the University of Utah. I want to be a good personal trainer and wondered which of the programs on the link would work best. I was kind of thinking of getting a degree in Exercise Science just so I might have options to change to physical theropy assistant if I want. I would really appreciate any advice from real personal trainers out there. Thanks.

Question by Dem: Does the flex belt for abs actually work?
I have seen advertisementss for the flex belt and it looks really cool, I mean we would all love to get amazing abs while doing our daily stuff. I just want to know if it is worth buying before I spend 200 dollars on a crappy devise. HELP!

I wouldn’t buy a junky belt to work only your abs. If you build muscle all over your body you will burn fat faster and you will uncover your abs. Save the $ 200.
Here’s a post about working on your abs that I found that might help:

Question by sktgrl119: Do spin trainers really work?
I have seen spin trainers online, in catalogs and at my local skate shops. How do these spin trainers work? Has anyone found spin trainers to be particularly helpful? I’m interested in buying one but I’m not sure if its a waste of money or not. Any thoughts would be helpful.

What gym should a personal trainer work for?
Apr 1st
Question by : What gym should a personal trainer work for?
This is a question for experienced personal trainers. After researching LA Fitness, Gold’s Gym, 24 Hour Fitness and such, it seems that 70% of the job is sales. Also the pay looks to be borderline minimum wage. Is this true? Not going to get a PT Cert to be a miserably paid salesman, so do you work for a gym that is purely based on personal training? Or is being an independent trainer the real way to go?

Up to you, i work out at a smallish gym near my home, and i know the personal trainers are sometimes the only people there running it are the personal trainers although they usually have a client and just leave up a sign saying go to back office if you need assistance and they just keep an eye on it. Again not a personal trainer myself, but i’d say best bet is to try being an independent trainer however if you struggle for business etc then move on to work for a gym. However you could do the reverse which would help build up a client base, as if long as your charming and people find your really helping them then they will be reluctant to change trainer
