Do I even have a chance at getting into University? Please help me :(?

Question by Jackie: Do I even have a chance at getting into University? Please help me
?
I am 16, completing Grade 11 this year, and I”m really starting to freak out. I live and Canada, and the top three schools I want to go to are University of Toronto, University of Ottawa and Queens. My Grade 10 grades were horrible. I had moved that year, and didn’t really take my grades seriously. I got mainly 70′s average, I took honours science and had 85 average. Last term I did HORRID and got 13% in socials, due to not going often at all, and the teacher really disliked me. My average for that course was in the 60′s. That year I was dancing 4 times a week with private lessons, but I never competed, and I quit before any major performances, or ballet exams. Does it still count? My attendance was very bad in grade 10 and I skipped out alot. Had full 8 classes that year.
Now Grade 11. I am doing much better in school. I am in 7 courses, so 1 spare. I am in: English, Principles math, (one below honours) socials, biology, Spanish, Psychology, Half year foods, and a course called planning, half year outside the timetable. First report card I had mainly B’s a few A’s and two C+ (Math and bio) I am not going into anything math or science related obvs. Last report card I got half A’s, my highest were english and spanish which were both 93. I got a B in math, and still a c+ for bio. All my other classes I did well in all mid-high 80′s. I’m unsure of how I am doing right now. I miss alot of school still though
So my attendance is poor. I plan on not missing any more school though, and not being late in the mornings.
Grade 12 I am taking:: English (Possibly honours) English literature, History, Biology, Psychology AP, Philosophy, Spanish and law. I plan on doing as well as I possibly can in these. And never missing class again lol.
And finally as far as extracurriculars, I really don’t have any
Growing up in my small town there wasn’t a whole lot outside of your traditional sports, and I wasn’t good at many of them. I just never got into it and my parents never enrolled me in any classes etc. Is it to late to try and join something now? I just don’t think uni’s would take it very seriously since it would be a very basic level. The only thing i had was dance for about half the year. I play some guitar, but that’s for personal pleasure. I would love to learn martial arts, I frequent yoga classes, play tennis, volleyball, and Badminton, but for fun and just with family/friends. So I don’t really know what to do with my interests and how to use them to impress uni’s. Also as far as student involvment etc like grad council and what not, I really don’t know many people at my school, so it is very hard for me to get involved that way
Volunteering is the only thing going for me. I am part of the Me to We group at my school. I volunteered at the Salvation army xmas kettles, and currently volunteer weekly at thrift stores. I do any random volunteer projects that are brought up in my group, and I plan on going to Ecuador this summer to help build schools, and teach kids english etc. I also have a part time job if that makes any difference.
So I’m really not a bad student, I just never got my priorities straight in the last couple years. My best subjects are always english and socials related. I’m very good at creative writing, I got the highest mark out of all of my grade (I have a very large school) on a practice provincial marked by someone from the english department, so I didn’t know him the mark was not biased. I Love to read.I plan on studying to be a lawyer, and yes I know it takes a lot of work, but I know when i put in an effort I am a very intelligent person. If not that, then a writer, editor, archaeologist etc anything to do with english or history. So sorry for this mega long rant, but i really need advice! Do I stand a chance? And please any tips on how to increase my chances. Keep in mind this is a Canadian University, so there are no SAT and up here, they don’t focus on sports as much as americans. And it’s also not ivy league. Thank you so much to those who read all of this!!
